If you are flying to New York, we recommend flying into MacArthur (ISP), John F. Kennedy (JFK), or LaGuardia (LGA) airports. MacArthur is the closest airport to Greenport, however please note MacArthur only services Jetblue, Southwest, Frontier and Breeze airways.
-
If you are traveling from New York City to Greenport, taking the Hampton Jitney or train are alternatives to driving. The North Fork line of the Jitney has several pickup locations in Manhattan. The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) provides service from Grand Central and New York Penn Station to Greenport, via transfer in Jamaica and Ronkonkoma stations.
-
If you are traveling from Connecticut or the South Fork of Long Island, we recommend taking a car ferry. The Cross Sound Ferry provides service from New London, CT to Orient Point, which is approximately a 20 minute drive to downtown Greenport. If you are traveling from the South Fork to Greenport, you can take the South Ferry from Sag Harbor to Shelter Island, followed by the North Ferry from Shelter Island to Greenport. Please note that the South and North ferries accept payment via cash or check only and will still be operating under their “winter schedule” in May.
-
Uber and Lyft service on the North Fork can be limited, please see below for local taxi information. While the town of Greenport is walkable to restaurants and shops, our wedding venue, the Sound View, is not walking distance from downtown Greenport. We encourage our guests to plan ahead and carpool when possible.
Following the wedding reception, transportation will be provided between 10pm-1am to Greenport and the surrounding areas for those guests who are not staying at the Sound View.
